Inspired by the discipline of martial arts, a unique line of workwear takes cues from the traditional garb of jiu-jitsu, blending its distinct style with the practicality required in both the culinary and urban environments. In a collaborative effort between Albino & Preto and Dickies Japan, this range of workwear pays homage to Dickies' blue-collar heritage with its rendition in three iconic Dickies colors.
To present the collection, Albino & Preto ventured to San Francisco, engaging recording artist "BAMBU" and Shawn Naputi, the proprietor of Guam's Prubechu restaurant, in a visual narrative titled "A Day in the Life." This narrative aimed to convey the collaborative design ethos behind the collection.
In addition to the apparel, Albino & Preto also unveiled two new versions of their Home Slides in partnership with Padmore & Barnes. These jiu-jitsu-inspired slides boast pearl weave vamps paired with cowhide mudguards, adorned with woven tags bearing the "Albino & Preto x Padmore & Barnes" insignia and featuring gold foil-stamped leather footbeds. Completing the ensemble are Vibram sole units, available in either black or white, with a subtle heel for added elevation.
